Cambridgeshire Police Biographies

We welcome biographies of individual officers, which all contribute to the bigger picture of policing in Cambridgeshire.

We are most grateful to Steve Robertson for allowing us to include a biography of his Great Grandfather, John Watson , who served in the Isle of Ely, joining as a 3rd class constable in 1882 and retiring as an inspector in 1914.
Superintendent William Martin Burke served in Wisbech Borough Police in 1859/60
Police Constable Richard Peake served in the Cambridgeshire Constabulary and disappeared during his duty in 1855
